I’m an apprentice pet groomer with a passion for helping pets feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

I’m currently training under a experienced senior groomer and continuously building my skills through hands-on experience and education.

I believe grooming should be a calm and positive experience for every pet. My goal is to create a safe environment where your furry family member feels at ease and leaves looking fresh, fluffy, and happy.

Every groom is another step in my journey, and I’m so grateful to the pet parents who trust me along the way.

My Grooming Journey 🐶🐱

My journey into grooming began in April 2025, when I discovered a genuine interest in dog grooming and decided to take the leap. I enrolled in a 3-month grooming course to build a strong foundation in safety, handling, coat care, and basic grooming techniques.

In late July 2025, I was hired at Urban Tails, where I am now apprenticing under our senior groomer, Jacklyn. Working closely alongside an experienced mentor has allowed me to continue refining my skills while gaining hands-on experience with a variety of breeds, coat types, and personalities.

In late September 2025, I decided to start taking on cat clients along with their canine counterparts

From day one, my focus has been on improving and giving every pet the best care possible — prioritizing safety, comfort, and patience. I want pets to leave their appointment feeling fresh, confident, and comfortable, and for their owners to feel completely happy and confident in the care their furry family member received.

NOTE: I’m currently only accepting cats with no behavioural issues

As I continue apprenticing and building my experience, I’m committed to growing my skills, refining my techniques, and expanding the services I confidently offer.

More importantly, I want to build lasting bonds with my clients and their pets. I aim to be someone pet parents trust — not just for grooming, but as an advocate for their pet’s comfort, coat health, and overall well-being.

I’m also always looking for ways to give back and show appreciation to my clients. Whether that’s through thoughtful goodie bags, special promotions, giveaways, or other creative touches, I want every visit to feel a little extra special.

My goal isn’t just to groom pets — it’s to create positive experiences, build strong relationships, and continue growing into a groomer who truly stands out.

We recently discovered a new pet store near my parents thanks to their recommendation, and it’s quickly become our go-to spot for Lola 🐾

We started by buying her food there, and then decided to try their grooming services for the first time. For context, Lola is 79 pounds and bath time at home has never been her favourite. She usually looks terrified and tries to hop out of the tub at every opportunity. Nail trims have also been stressful for us. We want them shorter, but her dark nails make it so nerve-racking.

Enter Kira, the groomer, who is basically a dog whisperer. Lola got a glowing report card, came out looking absolutely beautiful, and the de-shed was AMAZING. Bonus points for the fact that we didn’t leave soaking wet with sore backs and regret in our souls.

So grateful we gave this place a try. Lola approves, and that’s the highest rating there is 🐶✨
